What is Share the Road?

Send us your ideas!

MCBC wants your help to evaluate the future "What is Share the Road?" presentation. Please consider the questions below and offer feedback relevant to the development of our safety message to both drivers and bicyclists.

  • In what ways are you frustrated by vehicles on the road with you?
  • In what ways are you frustrated by bicycles on the road with you?
  • In what ways have you been endangered by vehicles on the road with you?
  • In what ways have you been endangered by bicycles on the road with you?
  • How would you want to be educated about bicyclists' and drivers' identical legal rights and responsibilities when using public roads? (ie. in a class/workshop, by reading pamphlets/flyers, seeing a powerpoint presentation, at a local bike shop, hearing advice from a friend, visiting a website, etc.)
  • Describe any Share the Road messages you have seen and resonated with in Marin or elsewhere that could be used as nationwide models (road signage, bumper stickers, bill boards, classes attended, TV/magazine/newspaper ads, promotional campaigns, etc.).

To send your comments in an email to our Share the Road program coordinator, Kim Baenisch, click on kim@marinbike.org.

Give Us Your Comments in Person! The first draft of the future Share the Road presentation will be shown at MCBC's annual membership meeting on Tuesday, April 5 at 6:30 PM at the Corte Madera Town Center meeting room. To set up a viewing and feedback session for your organization after this date, please call Kim Baenisch at 415-456-3469 x 2#.
