MCBC Annual Meeting features slideshow tour of Cal Park Hill Tunnel construction

Terry Graham elected to the Board of Directors

MCBC’s Annual Membership Meeting on April 1 was attended by 60 members. All attendees enjoyed a pizza dinner and the presentation and discussion of the slideshow “Come learn about the Cal Park tunnel construction”.

Presenters Dave Bernardi, manager of the $25 million project, and Erin Hohenshelt, of the Jacobs Associates engineering firm, informed us that construction is on schedule for completion no later than February, 2010. They will literally see light at the end of the tunnel in a few weeks when engineers remove dirt and boulders at the collapsed south end of the tunnel. MCBC’s Board candidates spoke to the group and final votes were placed. Thank you to all members who voted in advance by proxy! Voting members returned all five incumbents: Jerry Edelbrock, Celia Graterol, Stephen Hesson, Scott Klimo, and Don Magdanz; and elected newcomer Terry Graham to fill the seat vacated by Julia Violich.
