MCBC Annual Member Meeting

FEATURING:
“Key components of Marin’s Bicycle Network
Focus: the Alto Tunnel”

Wednesday, April 7, 6:30 – 8:30 PM
San Rafael Corporate Center Tamalpais Room
750 Lindaro Street, San Rafae
l

Celebrate MCBC’s 12th Anniversary with the Board and staff at the Annual Membership Meeting by learning more about the Alto Tunnel and Marin’s planned bicycle and pedestrian network. Deb Hubsmith, MCBC Advocacy Director, and Andy Peri, MCBC Advocacy & Outreach Coordinator, will give a presentation, “Alto Tunnel and Key Components of Marin’s Bicycle Network.” Join us to learn more about the timeline, process and next steps for advocating for opening this abandoned railroad tunnel that would provide a direct, flat, and safe route between Corte Madera and Mill Valley. The presentation will provide an update, a call to action, and an opportunity for questions and answers.

This year, there are 6 Director candidates. You’ll be able to vote for up to 5 candidates from the following list: Matt Adams, Gerry Coles, Maureen Gaffney, Vince O'Brien, Alexander Price, and Tom Woolley. We need your vote: 15% of our members must vote for the election to be valid. Your membership must be current as of March 8, 2010 to be eligible to vote!

All members are invited and encouraged to attend the MCBC’s Annual Membership Meeting. If you're not a member, you can join at the door. Non-alcoholic drinks and snack foods will be provided.

The meeting will consist of:

  • Meet and greet other MCBC members (light dinner will be provided)
  • Three-minute statements by Director candidates
  • Member vote casting for the election
  • Come learn about the Alto Tunnel
  • Announcement of election results

This is a member-only event; new members can join at the door, but cannot vote in the Director Election.

If you're a member of the MCBC and can’t attend the MCBC Annual Meeting in person, please vote online, or by mailing or faxing your ballot. You should be receiving a ballot in the mail by March 21.

We look forward to seeing you at the Annual Member meeting!
