BIG BIKE BASH

Attend MCBC’s annual member appreciation party – you are the reason for our successes!
The Marin County Bicycle Coalition (MCBC) has a lot to celebrate this year – join us in celebration of the bike/ped infrastructure and education progress we’ve made with your help!
WHEN: Saturday, November 17 from 6:00-10:00 PM
WHERE: Marinwood Community Center, located at 775 Miller Creek Road in San Rafael (just off Lucas Valley Road)
WHO: Free to MCBC members or join at the door for $25 – bring your family!
The party will feature music, drinks, light dinner, silent and live auctions, a raffle, and a short program with awards for our special guests of honor. Don't miss the antique bike collection (from pre-war/post-war to 1953 vintage) that will be provided by Rudy Contratti of Fairfax. Enjoy a social evening with your bicycling friends, while shopping for bargain bike and non-bike items, and feasting on a delicious dinner and dessert.
The Big Bike Bash is free to current members. New members can join at the door for the discounted rate of $25/person or $45/family.
Check out the growing list of donations for the auctions and raffle. There will be numerous wonderful items to choose from, including beautiful artwork.
Donations Needed:
Our members love to shop our eclectic array of auction items – in true BBB spirit, there’s usually choices from B&B overnights to Beer to Baskets of Body care products.
Promote your own business or invite a friend to market their product or service to our guests –a soothing massage, a free dinner for two at your restaurant, a weekend in your time share. To donate to our Silent Auction and raffle, contact Jo Ann Richards at 415-456-3469 x 7# or joann@marinbike.org.
To help you solicit donations from businesses that you personally visit, MCBC has a variety of solicitation materials for your use. Click here to review and print them.
All donations will be acknowledged at the event, on our website and in our winter 2008 Pedal Press newsletter. MCBC is a non-profit and your donation is tax deductible. We send tax deduction receipt thank you letters in December to all donors.

Volunteers Needed:
Just as member support allows MCBC to accomplish great improvements to Marin’s bike/ped facilities, MCBC volunteers make our Big Bike Bash a success each year. We need your help with all aspects of the event:
- be the music DJ, bartender, kitchen helper and/or food server, greeter, or photographer;
- help set up the room’s tables/chairs, decorations, auction items, and bike parking;
- staff the registration or information table, or help pre-event to pick-up food and auction donations
