Marin Bike to Work Day
Energizer Stations

Vista Point Energizer Station, 2008Stop by a Marin Energizer Station between 6:30-9:30 AM on May 14 for a bag of goodies and lots of cheer. Leave home a bit earlier to check out as many stations as possible, and vote for your favorite (voting is over). The celebration continues from 4-6 PM at Mike’s Bikes of Sausalito, as MCBC honors the Marin Bike Commuter of the Year.

Dust off your old bike, get a safety inspection at your local bike shop and try pedaling to work for a change.

Partnering with the following local businesses, a variety of coupons will be found in this year’s musette bags: Sports Basement, Peet’s Coffee & Tea, and Breaking Away Bicycles.

If each driver in Marin replaced a nine-mile car trip with a bicycle trip just once a month, it would cut carbon dioxide emissions by over 4,730 tons per year. And the riders would be having fun doing it.

Volunteer to staff a station near you (see the list below) by contacting Jo Ann Richards at 415-456-3469x7# or joann@marinbike.org.
