CELEBRATE AT THE TWIN CITIES 4TH OF JULY PARADE
MCBC
will be presenting its “Open the Tunnels!” float at the Twin Cities
4 th of July parade in Larkspur and Corte Madera.
MCBC is once again celebrating the recent Nonmotorized Transportation Pilot Program’s funding allocation of $250,000 for a Mill Valley-Corte Madera Bikeway Study.
The funded Bikeway Study will assess possible improvements on the three potential bike/ped routes: the Alto Tunnel, Horse Hill, and Camino Alto.
Many hands and feet are needed to construct, move, and walk/cycle through the tunnel during the parade. MCBC volunteers Chris Lang and Joe Breeze will again be coordinating the tunnel float with your help! The parade stages at Redwood High School between 8:30 and 10:00 AM, and begins its route at 10:30 AM.
Please
support the opening of the Alto tunnel by joining us for this festive
event and help make it as successful as was the recent Mill Valley
Memorial Day Parade where more than 55 tunnel supporters joined the
tunnel float!
Contact Chris Lang at 415-457-8687 ASAP to volunteer. He’ll provide you with the float’s specific meeting time and place. Bring your kids, too!
