Group rides with the MCBC
MCBC group ride is back! Join a ride to Earth Day Marin on Saturday, April 24. Group rides Kick-off with multiple options to Earth Day Marin.
Please join the Marin County Bicycle Coalition for group bicycle rides from one of 5 locations throughout Marin to the Earth Day Marin Festival on Saturday, April 24th 2010. Rides will be leaving from Novato, San Anselmo, San Rafael and Mill Valley.

Novato - Pacheco Shopping Center
Ride Leader: Mark Birnbaum
Meeting Time: 10 AM
Meeting Location: Pacheco Shopping Center, 366 Ignacio Boulevard, just west of Highway 101. Meet in parking lot, in front of the Subway Sandwich shop, at the western-most end of the shopping center.
San Anselmo – The Bicycle Works
Ride Leader: Jelani Bertoni
Meeting Time: Meet at 10:15 AM; leaving at 10:40 AM
Meeting Location: Bicycle Works at 1117 San Anselmo Ave. at Yolanda Station in the parking lot at across from the corner of Saunders and Center Blvd. in San Anselmo.
Special Instructions: To add a little extra fun to the rides, ride host The Bicycle Works invites riders to dress-up as Super Heroes and contribute acts of eco-service and generosity during the ride and at the event. For more information about the Superhero Community Service Bike Ride click here.
Mill Valley – Piatti Ristorante
Ride Leader: Jaqueline Zimmer (JZ)
Meeting Time: Arrive at 9:30 am for pastries, coffee and orange juice, courtesy of Piatti. Ride leaves at 10 AM
Meeting Location: Piatti’s Ristorante, 625 Redwood Highway in Mill Valley.
Special Instructions: The two rides will rendezvous behind Mill Valley Middle School on bike path near sewage treatment plant at 10:15 for ride to Earth Day Festival at College of Marin.
Mill Valley – Whole Foods
Ride Leader: Don Herzog
Meeting Time: 9:45 AM, leaving at 10 AM
Meeting Location: Whole Foods Market, 414 Miller Avenue, Mill Valley

San Rafael – San Rafael Plaza
Ride Leader: Tim Gilbert
Meeting Time: 10:15 AM, leaving at 10:30 AM
Meeting Location: San Rafael Plaza (Court Street adjacent to Bank of America). This leisurely ride will be on an essentially flat route from downtown San Rafael to Greenfield Avenue, through San Anselmo to Shady Lane in Ross and to the back entrance of College of Marin.
