SHARE THE ROAD DAY IS AUGUST 24
Law enforcement to set-up check-points
Marin County Law Enforcement Agencies recently announced that they are increasing their efforts on education and enforcement of road rules for bicyclists and motorists.
An All County Education and Enforcement Day will take place on Saturday, August 24, with the establishment of "check points" for bicyclists and motorists throughout Marin. This is being done as part of a Back to School Share the Road educational campaign. The effort is being led by Marin DA Paula Kamena.
The MCBC has always encouraged cyclists to follow the rules of the road, obeying all traffic signals. Please be warned that on August 24, the police will definitely be enforcing traffic laws. We encourage cyclists to be friendly to all law enforcement officials, and to obey all traffic laws. You don't want to get a ticket!
