MCBC’s popular Marin Bicycle Map is due for an update!
Your help is needed in 3 ways.
Our map’s designer, Joe Breeze, will be working over the next two months to update the map with:
- topographic relief
- countywide signed bike routes
- grade steepness
- city boundaries
- all street names
- mountain bike trail connections
Here are three ways you can help. Email kim@marinbike.org about any of the following:
- WHAT DOES THE MAP NEED? Let us know what you’d like to see added and any corrections needed.
- FREEHAND PROGRAM USERS WANTED: Joe can use your help to update the map files. Are you skilled at using Freehand, and when are you available to help at his Fairfax location?
- MAP TEXT VERIFICATION: To ensure accurate contact and bicycle accommodation information we call every bike shop, agency, etc. listed on the map prior to printing. Are you available to make calls and research web sites?
Your help with the map’s update will speed its progress and put this newest version on store shelves and in members’ mailboxes in early 2008. Email kim@marinbike.org to help today.
