Fifth Annual Big Bike Bash 2002

On Saturday, November 16, the Marin County Bicycle Coalition (MCBC) will hold its 5th Annual Big Bike Bash. The event will take place from 6-10 PM at the Corte Madera Recreation Center, 498 Tamalpais Drive in Corte Madera.
Guest speakers at this year's Big Bike Bash include: Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey, Assemblyman Joe Nation, Supervisor Steve Kinsey, Supervisor John Kress, and California Bicycle Coalition's Chris Morfas. The MC's for the evening will be MCBC staff members Deb Hubsmith and Heidi Adler.
The event will include a free food buffet and a no-host bar as well as a huge silent auction, a display of classic bicycles, and a raffle giving away a brand new "Breezer" transportation bike, designed for your commute by Joe Breeze (one of the inventors of the mountain bike).
Some of the Bay Area's best musicians will be playing live jazz music during the cocktail hour and dinner. The same group will play a dance concert later in the evening. Musicians include Jane Lenoir (flute), Calvin Keys (guitar), Robb Fisher (bass), and Mika Scott (percussion).
The Big Bike Bash is a free party for members of the Marin County Bicycle Coalition (MCBC). Those who wish to join the MCBC (and attend this great party) can sign-up at the door on the night of the event for the reduced membership rate of only $20. Besides this annual party, membership benefits include newsletters, rides, events, discounts from various businesses, and the satisfaction of knowing that you are working for a saner, safer transportation system that is healthy for people and the planet.

The Marin County Bicycle Coalition (MCBC) is a non-profit organization that promotes safe bicycling for everyday transportation and recreation.
