Searching for the Bicycle Commuter of the Year

The Winner Gets a New Bicycle!
Marin County Bicycle Coalition is soliciting nominations for bicycle commuters who have set an outstanding example for others through their cycle commuting.
Nominations are due on Friday, May 2nd. The recipient of the award for Bicycle Commuter of the Year will receive a Van Dessel Super Fly bicycle.
A short application form is available by going to www.marinbike.org, or by calling the MCBC office at 415-456-3469, 3#.
The nomination form asks for a short description (250 words or less) of the reasons why the nominated cycling commuter should receive the Bicycle Commuter of the Year award. Suggested topics might include: commute distance, commute time in minutes or hours, number of years commuting via bicycle, overcoming adverse weather conditions, courteous riding habits, inspiration to others, civic mindedness, and a great commute story.
The selected Bicycle Commuter of the Year will be acknowledged and receive their Van Dessel Super Fly bicycle at Marin County Bicycle Coalition's "Music and Movie" event which takes place on Friday, May 16 in Creek Park, San Anselmo. This event marks the culmination of Bike to Work Week. The movie being shown is "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid."
