FREE PRESENTATION: BIKE COMMUTING "101"
SATURDAY, AUGUST 10, 11 AM, AT REI
Ever thought about cycling to work? Now's a great time to try!
Join the Marin County Bicycle Coalition and REI on Saturday, August 10 at 11 AM for a free one-hour presentation called "Bicycle Commuting 101" which will be held at REI's store at 213 Corte Madera Town Center.
Come to "Bike Commuting 101" and you will gain resources so that you can escape the gridlock of Highway 101! The presentation and discussion will cover bike gear, clothing, route selection, biking to transit (bikes on buses, ferries, etc.), safe riding etiquette, how to properly secure your bike, and more.
The Marin County Bicycle Coalition (MCBC) is a non-profit organization that promotes safe bicycling for everyday transportation and recreation. The MCBC is working towards a goal of 20% of Marin's trips to be made by walking and bicycling. Three programs support this objective: Building the Bicycle Network, Safe Routes to Schools, and Share the Road. Learn more at www.marinbike.org or by calling (415) 456-3469.
