Free Valet Bicycle Parking
At the Sausalito Art Festival

Spare the air, skip the traffic, and get some exercise by riding your bicycle to the Sausalito Art Festival. The Marin County Bicycle Coalition (MCBC) will be there to provide free valet bicycle parking.

The 55th annual Sausalito Art Festival (2007) is being held Saturday, September 1(9am - 6 pm), Sunday, September 2 (9am - 6pm), and Monday, September 3 (9am - 5pm). Valet bicycle parking will be open for the same hours that the Fair is in session. The Festival Entrace is at Bridgeway and Harbor Drive.

Last year the Marin County Bicycle Coalition parked over 1,000 bicycles at the Sausalito Art Festival, taking cars off the road and easing the parking crunch. Kim Baenisch, Executive Director of the MCBC says, "When you ride your bicycle to the Sausalito Art Festival, you'll get to ride on the Bridgeway bike lanes, eliminate the need to search for parking, and feel great after riding through Sausalito's fresh marine air!"

To volunteer with bicycle parking, call Stephen Hesson, MCBC Bicycle Parking coordinator at 606-7209. All bicycle parking volunteers at the Sausalito Art Festival will receive free entry to the Festival and a Festival t-shirt.
