Breaking Away Bicycles
Breaking Away Bicycles opened in downtown Ross in
July 2006. It’s a full service bike shop, carrying Wilier,
Blue, Salsa and Jamis Bicycles. They stock a wide variety
of bicycles: road, mountain, single-speed and cyclocross
bikes, 29ers, cruisers, and kids’ bikes. Special orders are
their forte: They’re here to provide customers with the
items they need.
The shop offers a large selection of women’s and men’s apparel, featuring lines such as Sheila Moon, SheBeest, Louis Garneau and more.
The service department brings high-quality service to the local neighborhood. The shop’s mechanics have combined experience of over 30 years. Breaking Away Bicycles’ vision is to deliver the passion of the cycling lifestyle with all the right products and a friendly, knowledgeable staff.
Store owner Donna Doran says Breaking Away Bicycles will be active in the community and will support cyclingrelated causes and activities. Breaking Away Bicycles wants to encourage a healthy and active lifestyle throughcycling for all ages. They plan to have special events and seminars to inspire people to get out and ride bikes.
Breaking Away Bicycles offers special discounts to cycling groups including the MCBC, so stop by and check them out. They’re located at 7 Ross Common, Ross, and are open seven days a week with extended hours. Their phone number is (415) 461-2959.
