Mike's Bikes of San Rafael

Mike's Bikes originated with the San Rafael store. Opened in 1964 as one of Marin's first Schwinn shops, it has adapted to the changing winds of the bicycle world. It was home to some of the first mountain bikes available in the entire United States. It's now the flagship store of the largest independent bicycle dealer west of the Rocky Mountains. Though Mike's has huge buying power and offers a wide selection of the industry's top brands, they are still locally owned and operated.

Last year, an addition was completed that nearly doubled the floor space of the cozy Fourth Street shop. Even though you'll find the same cutting-edge bikes and gear in San Rafael that Mike's is known for, this shop retains a nice community feel. It's a friendly place to go take a test spin, try on some shoes, or get your bike serviced by some of the most experienced mechanics in Marin.
