REI

The REI bike shop has been in Marin since REI Corte Madera opened in May, 2001. Since we are a member-owned co-op, REI members receive discounts on all bicycle and snow sports shop services and up to 10% back in the form of a dividend for any full-price purchases. REI membership is for life with a one-time fee of $15.

As a full-service bike shop we sell and service Novara (REI’s own brand), K2, Yeti, Electra and Marin. Marin bikes are one of our newest lines and have proved to be extremely popular with our customers. We have a full selection including road, mountain, hybrids, youth and cruiser type models.

We are also very fortunate to have a master technician and other shop technicians, certi- fied by Barnett. They are responsible for servicing the bikes we sell and other bikes in need of repair or just desiring upgrades. We carry a complete line of parts to support everything from the casual rider to the cycling competitor.

REI’s mission is to inspire and educate our local community for a lifetime of outdoor adventure. To support our mission, REI Corte Madera has provided grants to bicycling organizations including Trips for Kids and MCBC. For our local community, in-store clinics are free and open to all. In August we presented clinics in Basic Bike Maintenance and Women’s Mountain Biking. REI also provides leader-led cycling trips. Local, national and international trips are offered through REI Adventures.
