Marinovators- Bike Parking
This family friendly event showcases students in Marin. Last year, we saw many families arriving by bike and we are expecting to see even more families on bikes this year! This is a fun opportunity to engage parents and children and capture their excitement about riding bikes.
Bike to Work Day
This annual event is celebrated by thousands that chose to leave their cars at home and experience the joys and benefits of bicycling to work, school, and for local errands. Energizer stations will be set up throughout Marin; there will be Super Stations hosted by MCBC staff and volunteers. Volunteers are needed to help count people on bikes and pass out treats to riders.
Tour de Marin
Tour de Marin blends safe, sane and scenic routes with wholesome foods and incredible support - And no one is left behind! This year with two route options, the traditional 38-mile route and a new metric century 66-mile route, we need more amazing volunteers to help make this ride even more amazing.
Mill Valley Market Wine, Beer & Gourmet Food Tasting- Bike Parking
Back by popular demand, MCBC will provide free valet bike parking to festival goers.
Slow and Say Hello!
We will be interacting with hikers, walkers, bikers and equestrians to discuss good trail etiquette and to hand out brochures. We will also be discussing our Off-Road Program stewardship opportunities. T-shirts will be provided.
Tamarancho Dirt Classic
Volunteer for the Tamarancho Dirt Classic and we'll make sure you're fed and watered. We've even got a stash of short-supply event T's set aside for those of you who throw your back into it.
Fairfax Festival - Bike Parking
The Fairfax Festival embodies the values that are dear to all Marinites: community, family, social responsibility, sustainability and, of course, a great party. MCBC will be providing free valet bike parking at the event.
Italian Street Painting Marin- Bike Parking
Experience a street painter's view of Venice at Carnevale di Venezia! MCBC will be providing free valet bike parking the event.
MCBC Dirt Fondo Summer Solstice
Epic Ride on the Longest Weekend of the Year! We need help to ensure that our riders have a great time on and off the bike. We'll have opportunties for you both on off the bike too. Help us make a great cycling event in Marin happen! (Volunteer Sign-Up Coming Soon!)
Volunteers with MCBC help us with many of these tasks:

Represent MCBC at your favorite events, like Bike To Work Day, The Fairfax Festival, the Marin Century and Biketoberfest! Outreach is the most important way to get others interested in the programs and projects that make Marin a great place to bike. It’s also a great way to meet new people who share your passion for cycling!
Behind the scenes, MCBC volunteers keep the office operating smoothly by helping with mailings, data entry, compiling new-member packets, filing, archiving newspaper articles, graphic design for special event pieces, writing articles, and office cleanup. Let us know if you have a few weekday hours to spare to help us in this very important way.
MCBC provides free valet bike parking throughout Marin County at key community events, offering cyclists the opportunity to have fun at events while avoiding the traffic congestion and parking hassles. This very-social all-volunteer service includes bike parking, promoting MCBC, and recruiting new members.
Please help MCBC get the word out about our events and quarterly news. Enjoy traveling around the county as you distribute brochures, newsletters, and posters for us to a pre-determined list of local bike shops, libraries, community centers, and businesses. Distribution can even be done on your bike!
Got great phone skills? Help call MCBC members to attend local meetings, collect feedback on how MCBC is doing, invite lapsed members to renew, discuss ballot issues, special events, etc. We provide the script; all you need to do is speak clearly and cheerfully!
