Vista Point Trail Project Public Meeting

May 17, 2016 @ 4:30 pm - 7:00 pm

Vista Point Trail Project Public Meeting
The National Park Service (NPS) invites you to attend a public meeting about proposed improvements to the Vista Point Trail at Fort Baker. This will take place in Sausalito on Tuesday, May 17.  See below for meeting details.
Project Description
This project is necessary to provide an important trail connection for pedestrians and bicyclists from the north side of the Golden Gate Bridge to Fort Baker and Sausalito. It would convert a closed trail segment to a multi-use trail creating a safer and more scenic route that is free of cars.

Currently, thousands of cyclists and pedestrians travel each day between Dana Bowers Vista Point and Sausalito along the heavily trafficked Alexander Avenue. With this new trail, bicyclists and pedestrians would be able to travel without mixing with cars to Fort Baker where there are quiet bike lanes, sidewalks, restaurants, waterfront, and beautiful views.

How to Comment
The Vista Point Trail Project is available for review and public comment through June 4, 2016, on the NPS planning website.
Comments may also be submitted by mail:
