It’s that time of year, to get out and ride our bikes! We know that learning the ropes of road cycling can be overwhelming and intimidating. We’ve been there too and want to help you overcome the obstacles that are standing between you and your bike.
Join Liv Ambassador April Kushner and Bicycle Brüstop Mechanic Meghan Kershner on Sunday, March 19th at Bicycle Brüstop in Novato as they lead a discussion on bike fit, the gear you need, nutrition, and cover the basics of riding on the road. After the discussion, we’ll take a short ride through Novato to put our new knowledge to work.
The ride will take roughly 30-45 minutes at a casual, conversational pace. We’ll go over the basics of exiting bike lanes, proper signaling for making turns and stopping, and positioning ourselves to be visible and predictable. Our goal is make sure that you feel confident on your bike, so bring your questions! If you don’t want to or can’t join us for the ride, that’s ok too.
Bicycle Brüstop will be opening just for us at 9:00 am on Sunday, March 19th.
We’re planning on this event taking 2 hours, 1.5 hours for the discussion and 30 minutes for the ride. To RSVP or if you have questions, please email April Kushner- firstname.lastname@example.org
