We Need You! Volunteers Needed Now for Solstice & Dirt Fondos

It takes hard work to pull off epic events like the MCBC Solstice Fondo in July and MCBC Dirt Fondo in August. We depend upon the efforts of our amazing MCBC Volunteers and are now finalizing volunteer teams as the events approach. There are multiple slots and tasks – a great way to support your fellow riders on the course and help MCBC efforts to expand off-road access.

The Solstice Fondo is back!

Enjoy the long days with an all-day mountain bike ride on Saturday, July 15. As you know, proceeds help MCBC expand Marin’s network of bike legal trails, including over 20 miles of new trail projects and proposals coming on line starting this year!

That’s where you come in! We need you and your smiles for the pre-event and day-of-event Ride Packet Pick-up, Course Marshall tasks, Rest Stop Helpers, and Post-Ride Celebration efforts! Show us your directional skills, grilling talents or your ability to be more chipper than most during pre-dawn hours.

MCBC Dirt Fondo – the Epic Summer Ride

Want more Fondo action in Marin this summer? Ride the 6th Annual MCBC Dirt Fondo – an all-day mountain bike ride on Sunday, August 27. As with the Solstice Fondo, all proceeds from this event help MCBC expand Marin’s network of bike legal trails. When you help out with a volunteer commitment, you help make that happen.

If you volunteer for the Solstice Fondo, you’ll be a pro for the Dirt Fondo. With an even more sprawling course, we need our always-amazing volunteers to make the difference as we lead up to the ride, and pull off this classic day!

Be a supportive part of Marin’s cycling community while enjoying the beautiful Mt. Tam landscape. Grab a friend, make a day of it, and then head to the post-ride celebration!
