Turn Shock Into Aww! Let’s crank the courtesy up to the max.

In the past 12 months we’ve added seven miles of new trail riding experiences with the opening of Bill’s Trail, Bob Middagh Trail and Ponti Ridge Trail. One of our 3 Gaps projects is underway on Azalea Hill and the other, Easy Grade Trail, is shovel ready with a possible funding announcement in coming weeks. Now more than ever, we need to be model trail riders to keep the momentum going.

E-bikes on Public Lands

Whether you want to ditch the car, haul kids and groceries, or simply require a little help to get on the bike, pedal-assist e-bikes are becoming an integral part of daily life. You can now ride them in many of Marin’s public lands and take them to popular cycling destinations.

MCBC joins forces with students and parents from the Tam High Mountain Biking Team to give some much needed love to the Tenderfoot Trail.

More Bike Bell!

Bicyclists are encouraged to say “hello” and use a bike bell on trails and pathways. Our multi-use pathways and trails are enjoyed by walkers, hikers, families, equestrians, and fellow bicyclists. To enhance safety on these shared facilities, Marin County Bicycle Coalition (MCBC) will install a free bell on any bike without one.

Bill’s Trail Opens to All Users – April 24

Following years of persistent advocacy and collaboration with Marin agencies, Marin County Bicycle Coalition was delighted to take part in a ribbon-cutting ceremony July 16 for the newest linkage in our North-South Greenway: a pathway from Rice Drive to Andersen Drive in San Rafael!

Slow and Say Hello 2018 Outposts Begin July 21

Test your trail etiquette knowledge and learn how to tread lightly in our parks and open space preserves at Slow & Say Hello! trailhead outposts this summer through fall. Look for the tent on July 21 at Lake Lagunitas.
