2018 Draft Plan Brings Three Trails and a Bridge!

Marin County Open Space District released their 2018 Draft Work Plan featuring three new bike-legal trail projects. Open Space will focus on expanding North Marin’s network of trails in 2018. Here are the projects that will benefit bicyclists –

County Parks Video Highlights Measure A Results

Following an extensive vetting process, Marin County Open Space was able to start implementing new trail projects in 2016. They have opened 3.5 miles of new trails in Mill Valley and San Geronimo, with another two miles of trail under construction now. This video highlights one of those projects.

New “Slow & Say Hello!” Outposts Continue This Fall

Trail Partners have been setting up “Slow and Say Hello!” outposts at popular trailheads around the county this summer to remind those who recreate on Marin’s open space, watershed and park lands of the importance of trail safety, courtesy toward other visitors, and respect for the plants and wildlife that inhabit them.

On this weekend-long event beginning Friday August 18, volunteers will help build a connector trail by hand in Marin County Open Space. Don’t miss this rare chance to camp out and be part of the Trail Maintenance Team.

Join the Road & Trail Celebration On May 21

Marin County Open Space will lead a public celebration for the road and trail projects completed in 2016, including Boulder Springs Trail, Contour Trail, Candelero Trail, Octopus Trail and Valle Vista Trail.
