China Camp – Progress on the Shoreline Trail

A big MCBC Thank You! to the 35 volunteers who worked on the Shoreline Trail repair job at China Camp State Park last week. Thanks to their efforts we are finally close to getting the trail open again.

Visit the Trail Partners’ “Slow and Say Hello!” outpost this Saturday at the historic Phoenix Lake log cabin to get all of your trail-related questions answered, learn about safe trail use, and use your new knowledge of trail etiquette to win fun prizes. For this one day only, the historic Log Cabin will also be open to the public.

County Parks Video Highlights Measure A Results

Following an extensive vetting process, Marin County Open Space was able to start implementing new trail projects in 2016. They have opened 3.5 miles of new trails in Mill Valley and San Geronimo, with another two miles of trail under construction now. This video highlights one of those projects.

Hunt Camp Trail Volunteers Build Needed Reroutes

Enthusiastic and knowable trail volunteers from all over the Bay Area bonded while creating robust new trails. The diverse group was made up of hikers, bikers, trail runners and equestrians who all share a love for trails, and not a word was heard about trail conflict or access issues.
